Initial Impressions and features
When I first got this Modern, I liked the idea of what they were trying to practice. The mod itself is similar a bigger battlestar but not by much. The RDTA had an issue where i of the screws in the top negative post wouldn't tighten downwards. I informed ehpro and they sent me a replacement. The replacement had the same consequence and none of the spares worked, luckily i was able to find one that fit right from my spare screw kit. It'southward near every bit if that hole was made a little bigger then the remainder. Building on the RDTA was pretty standard. It has a deck similar to the boreas V2 and while i usually don't intendance for "extra metal" in this example it'south justified because information technology'due south needed to split the 2 positives then they tin exist used independently. All in all not a bad kickoff minus the post screw consequence on the RDTA. The menu organisation is like shooting fish in a barrel three clicks and then adjust each using their set of plus and minus buttons.
Watt Way Performance
Let'due south get into some data. Resistances for this modern's testing were done at .eleven, .xv, .2 and .51 for the high resistance test. The mod reads resistance accurate and live. The wattage testing points were max watts (150), 125, 100, 75, 50 and 25. At .xi ohms the mod maxed out at 85 watts and 28 amps. The 28 amp limit is insanely low for a dual bombardment mod. 1st time i seen one nether 30 personally. Nigh unmarried can do 30 amps. The remainder of the testing information technology striking low 1-ii watts so pretty dam authentic. At the .15 test information technology maxed out at 118 watts (and again 28 amps) and the rest of the testing hit low from one-4 watts so pretty accurate again.
For the .20 examination it maxed out at 155 watts (28 amps again so consistent) coming together information technology's spec of 150 watts advertised. The remainder of the testing pretty accurate under 100 never being off by more than than 2 watts except the 125 exam where it was 133 watts. For the high resistance test of .51 it maxed out at 106 watts and seven.363 volts. For the rest of the testing it was vi high, 2 high, and on point. My max wattage overall was 155 and so it does reach the 150 promised and exceeds it.The max amps (28) is really low for a dual battery modern and more in line with nearly unmarried battery mods. Virtually dual battery mods are around 35-40. The 7.363 volts is solid for a dual battery mod. The mod never got hot or warm in my testing outside of the top plate which absorbs heat from the atty. But never got too hot IMO. simply a niggling warm. overall one of the cooler running mods out there. Output was smooth and consistent. Overall it'due south a solid performer nether 100 watts and does meet it'southward wattage claims, but it's low amp limit makes information technology not great for sub .2 ohm vaping.
The third part of this is the independent wattage (or even running one in TC and 1 in ability mode) where each fleck of the modern powers ane ringlet each on a dual curlicue build. Outside of the obvious crank one high crank 1 low and watch it where you can encounter it works i too hooked upward dissever leads and you tin see here
where there is different output to each curl and then in short, it does work as advertised. I didn't do a full range of testing independently due to it only being compatible with the 1 atomizer, but I did want to show in a visual that it does indeed work equally promised allowing 2 split up outputs to 2 separate coils in the aforementioned atomizer, so it does come up through on that detail promise besides
Temperature Control
Using SS316 wire with the default SS mode. I tested 8 builds ranging from unmarried round spaced single and dual coils, to fancy single coil and Fancy dual coil builds and 1 fourth dimension on the included RDTA with 2 separate coils firing each independently as well as both at the same time. The mod did 1 thing expert, never came shut to a dry hit. Outside of that though non much to say even cranking it up to 600f (max temp) didn't produce a good vape cutting off fashion too early on and throttling back hard. Overall it's good at not getting dry out hits but never actually produces a decent vape so i'thousand gonna give it a no-go for temp control usage
Other Usage Notes
The mod has a nice feel and weight to it. It'south slightly larger than a battlestar and same shape. I didn't do a disassembly on this one every bit i didn't feel a need to. The screen is a good size and bright. The carte du jour system is uncomplicated three clicks to cycle through modes which y'all can exercise independently. The primary describe of this kit existence the ability to put in 2 dissimilar coils in the aforementioned atomizer and ability each one independently and it does piece of work equally promised. It's like shooting fish in a barrel to adjust all the settings and unproblematic to use.
